Types of Ropes Course

Recreational ropes courses - sole ownership opportunities

A partnership of franchise opportunity is not for everyone and sole ownership is the preferred route for some clients. Historically, the norm was for RCD to construct a course on a traditional client / supplier relationship; however, the recreational industry has advanced so significantly in recent years the associated costs and complexity of such projects are now much larger.  Many clients are looking at ways to reduce the risk, improve the facility and benefit on a permanent basis from the expertise of the European Leaders.

The advantages of the sole ownership route are clear in that the profits and / or ownership are not shared.  The disadvantage is that the capital cost will be considerably higher.  Invariably a recreational facility, unlike a developmental product, will be unique. This means a considerable amount of research and development. Inevitably, trial and error will occur and in reality this will be reflected in the cost.

To conclude: this option is sound and viable, however, it should be appreciated that the capital costs will be higher.
