Description

 

This is a remarkable facility in that it provides a comprehensive climbing wall and a substantial ropes course on only two main structural poles! If the budget is limited but a ropes course and climbing facility is required then this is the ideal solution.

 

General Specifications

  • Operational ground area required is approximately 15 metres x 10 metres. Four guy cables (these are not a structural but stability requirement only) extend beyond the operational area
  • Option for complete ground covering (pea gravel to 150mm minimum with geo-textile membrane and appropriate retainers). This is necessary both from an aesthetic perspective and to ensure operational efficiency

  • Standard arrangement for 2 routes on either side (total 4 routes) One side is inclined
  • Space for up to 3 climbing routes on 2 sides (total 6 routes). One side is inclined

  • Unauthorised access to climbing routes can be prohibited when structure not in use by means of draw bridge or covers
  • Can accommodate the new POWERFANŽ designed and tested in accordance with relevant parts of BS: EN: 341 1992 and conforming to EN: 15567 for Ropes Courses
  • Can accommodate an RCD Zip Wire
  • Poles can be mounted above the ground to maximise longevity. New EU regulations pertaining to timber treatment have reduced the effectiveness of the preservation process. The new pole mounting method, adopted by RCD, is expected to provide over 20 years life expectancy under normal circumstances.
