This is a simple but highly effective product that has been tried, tested and refined over nearly 15 years.
General Specifications
- Meets the requirements of EN: 12572 for artificial climbing structures
- Meets the requirements of prEN: 15567 for Ropes Courses
- Designed to minimise the need for maintenance
- Designed to address Working at Height Legislation in terms of appropriate access for instructors
- Tested ground anchors included
- Ground covering (area 6 metres x 10 metres) – pea gravel with appropriate retainers. Option for complete ground covering (pea gravel to 150mm minimum with geo-textile membrane and appropriate retainers). This is necessary both from an aesthetic perspective and to ensure operational efficiency.

- Aesthetically pleasing, well crafted (fully treated) timber construction
- Normal Dimensions: Height to top platform 10 metres. Maximum height of vertical walls can be 12 metres. Maximum height of poles above the ground 14 metres. Maximum height of roof above ground 16 metres. Smaller or larger dimensions are possible
- Space for up to 3 climbing routes on 2 sides (total 6 routes). One side is inclined
- Standard belay arrangements for either bottom or top rope belaying
- Pitched roof with gutters - optional
- Unauthorised access to climbing routes can be prohibited when structure not in use by means of draw bridge or covers
- Can accommodate the new POWERFAN™ designed and tested in accordance with relevant parts of BS: EN: 341 1992 and conforming to prEN:15567 for Ropes Courses
- Can accommodate an RCD Zip Wire
- Can accomodate an RCD 3G Swing with a 22 metre pendulum
- Can include internal access to the top platform with a series of short ladders via four platforms.
- Poles can now be mounted above the ground to maximise longevity. New EU regulations pertaining to timber treatment have reduced the effectiveness of the presevation process. The new pole mounting method, adopted by RCD, is expected to provide 20 years of life expectancy under normal circumstances.
